General Simon Hendrik Spoor (Amsterdam, January 12, 1902 – Batavia, May 25, 1949) was the Chief of Staff of the Dutch Armed Forces in the Dutch East Indies from 1946 to 1949, during the Indonesian National Revolution.[1]
In 1923 Spoor graduated from the Koninklijke Militaire Academie and joined the Royal Dutch East Indies Army.[1] He was also a teacher at his alma mater.
In 1943, he became director of the Dutch military information service (NEFIS) in Australia.[1]
After the Dutch re-occupation of the Dutch East Indies, he led the two Dutch police actions; Operatie Product and Operatie Kraai.
General Spoor died unexpectedly on 25 May 1949.[1]
